Hello there!

With Black Friday just around the corner, the holiday shopping season is about to kick into high gear.

As an Amazon seller, this is your golden opportunity to maximize sales and attract more customers to your listings.

So, what better way to prepare than by creating your own Black Friday GPT?

This practical guide will walk you through creating a custom AI tool, using GPT, that can help your customers find the best Black Friday deals on Amazon—all while promoting your own listings!

Ready? Let’s dive in! 🚀

Why Build a Black Friday GPT?

Because you want to capture as much attention as possible during the busiest shopping period of the year.

Building a Black Friday GPT allows you to:

Help your customers find the best deals quickly.

Promote products that fall under categories with significant Black Friday discounts (e.g., tech gadgets, home appliances).

Save your customers time and enhance their shopping experience by providing targeted recommendations.

Stand out in the competitive marketplace by offering something innovative and helpful.

Most importantly, by guiding your customers to deals on Amazon, you can naturally drive more traffic to your own listings.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Black Friday GPT

Before we jump into building the GPT, you’ll need a ChatGPT Plus subscription. This allows you to create your own GPT and access the best functionalities of GPT-4. After this:

1. Create Your GPT

First, log into your ChatGPT Plus account, and click on the Create GPT button. This will take you to the GPT Builder page.

2. Define the GPT's Purpose

Once you're on the GPT Builder page, it will prompt you to define the purpose of your GPT.

In this case, we want to create a GPT that helps users find the best Black Friday deals, focusing on Amazon.

For the purpose of this newsletter, let's call it "Black Friday Deal Finder."

You can enter the following prompt to define your GPT’s role:

“I want to create a GPT that helps customers find Black Friday deals on Amazon, prioritizing categories like tech gadgets, clothing, and home appliances.”

3. Customize the Search Focus

After defining the GPT’s purpose, you’ll be asked to set the search parameters. Since you are an Amazon seller, it’s essential that the GPT focuses on Amazon deals only.

Here’s how to customize it:

👉 Set the primary source to Amazon.

👉 Include instructions like: “Please prioritize Amazon links, and do not include deals from any other websites.”

👉 This will ensure the GPT is specifically geared toward finding Amazon deals, helping you highlight your products and any relevant categories you specialize in.

4. Add Categories and Filters

If you sell products in specific categories, it's a good idea to add category filters.

For example, if you specialize in home appliances, clothing, or tech gadgets, you can program the GPT to prioritize deals in those categories.

You can even add a filter for price range or brand.

Example: You could prompt the GPT with something like: “Focus on tech gadgets under $500, including smart home devices and wearable tech.”

5. Set Permissions and Finalize

Once your GPT is ready, you can configure permissions.

Initially, it might make sense to set it so that only users with the link can access it.

Click Save to finalize your Black Friday GPT.

💡 How to leverage this Black Friday GPT?

Now that you've built your Black Friday GPT, how can you use it to drive more sales and make the most of Black Friday?

1. Promote It via Email or Social Media

Promote the GPT to your customers in newsletters, social media, or your Amazon storefront. It’s a value-added tool that will make you stand out from competitors who are simply listing products without any added assistance.

2. Guide Customers to Complementary Products

If you sell home appliances, your GPT could guide users to Black Friday deals on related products, such as pizza ovens or blenders. Not only will this improve your chances of a sale, but it will also create a more engaging shopping experience for customers.

To wrap up, In just a few steps, you’ve created a practical and helpful Black Friday GPT tailored specifically for your Amazon customers.

Not only will this tool enhance their shopping experience, but it will also increase traffic to your listings and improve sales during the busiest shopping season of the year.
