Hey there!

If a product starts underperforming on Amazon, the signs usually show up before your revenue drops.

It might be a small dip in click-through rate (CTR).

A sudden uptick in returns.

Or a few three-star reviews with subtle complaints.

But most sellers miss these early warning signsโ€”because theyโ€™re buried in scattered reports.

Thatโ€™s where ChatGPT becomes your second pair of eyes.

With the right prompts, it can help you scan your product performance data, detect trends, and suggest corrective action before things spiral.

Letโ€™s break it down:

STEP 1: Pull Your Product Data Regularly

Start by exporting your product performance data from Seller Central or your analytics toolโ€”weekly or bi-weekly.

Youโ€™ll want these metrics:

  • Sessions

  • Conversion rate

  • CTR

  • Sales

  • Refund rate

  • Buy box %

  • Review trends

  • Star rating average

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Save this data in a simple spreadsheet and update it consistently. Patterns are easier to catch with historical context.

STEP 2: Ask ChatGPT to Spot Drops and Spikes

Once your data is ready, paste it into ChatGPT and prompt:

Prompt:

โ€œHereโ€™s my product performance data for the last 6 weeks. Highlight any significant drops or spikes in CTR, conversion rate, or sales. Tell me what might be causing them.โ€

ChatGPT will help surface:

โœ… A 10% drop in CTR (possible image/title issue?)

โœ… A conversion dip (could be due to pricing or negative reviews)

โœ… Refund rate increase (maybe a product defect?)

Youโ€™ll get instant feedback instead of sifting through rows manually.

STEP 3: Dig Into Customer Feedback

Even before metrics fall, reviews and Q&A often hold the first clues.

Prompt:

โ€œAnalyze the last 25 reviews and Q&A for my [product name]. Identify any recurring complaints, concerns, or confusion that could impact future performance.โ€

You might uncover:

  • Complaints about sizing or misleading photos

  • Questions that hint at poor instructions

  • Mentions of alternatives customers prefer

๐Ÿง  Extra tip: Ask, โ€œWhat improvements should I consider based on this feedback?โ€

STEP 4: Compare Against Benchmarks

To figure out if a drop is your problemโ€”or an industry-wide oneโ€”ask ChatGPT to compare your performance to averages.

Prompt:

โ€œBased on Amazon FBA benchmarks for [your category], how do these metrics compare: CTR, conversion rate, refund rate?โ€

This gives you context.ย

If your conversion dropped from 22% to 19%, but the category average is 14%, youโ€™re still in a strong position.

STEP 5: Identify Root Causes and Suggest Fixes

Now that youโ€™ve spotted whatโ€™s off, use ChatGPT to troubleshoot and generate next steps.

Prompt:

โ€œMy CTR dropped 15% over 3 weeks. My main image, title, and price havenโ€™t changed. What else could cause this, and how should I test improvements?โ€

Or:

โ€œRefunds are increasing. Reviews mention packaging damage. Suggest alternative packaging types or improvements that could fix this.โ€

Youโ€™re not just reactingโ€”youโ€™re diagnosing like a pro.

STEP 6: Build a Performance Monitoring Routine

Finally, turn this into a system.ย

Prompt:

โ€œHelp me build a weekly product performance review checklist that includes reviewing data, analyzing feedback, and identifying risks.โ€

This way, every week you know what to checkโ€”and how to take action fast.

๐Ÿง  RECAP:

โœ” Use ChatGPT to analyze trends in your product performance

โœ” Catch dips in CTR, conversions, reviews, and refund rates

โœ” Read between the lines of reviews and Q&A

โœ” Compare your metrics to category benchmarks

โœ” Build a repeatable weekly monitoring system

Most sellers only notice a problem after the damage is done.

But you? Youโ€™ll see it coming. All it takes is a few minutes and the right ChatGPT prompts.

1. Google Photos merges classic search with AI to speed up results (source)

The AI feature, first introduced at Googleโ€™s I/O developer conference last year, allows users to search across their collection of digital photos using natural language queries.ย

Leveraging Googleโ€™s Gemini, Ask Photos taps into the AIโ€™s ability to understand a photoโ€™s content and its other metadata when responding to input.

2. YouTube adds an AI Overviews-like search results carousel (source)

YouTube is rolling out new AI-powered features to help users find content and information more easily, the company announced on Thursday.ย

The platform is launching an AI-powered search results carousel similar to Googleโ€™s AI Overviews and is also testing conversational AI with more users.

The new AI-powered search results carousel, available only to YouTube Premium users in the United States, will suggest videos and display brief AI-generated topic descriptions to help users find what theyโ€™re looking for faster.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential

Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolutโ€™s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacasoโ€™s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. Theyโ€™ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacasoโ€™s investment opportunity ends September 18.
